Chanute, KS - After being upset in the NJCAA Division 2 Plains District Semifinal match against Highland CC, the Neosho County Community College Volleyball team was hoping for a chance to continue the season a bit longer and not finish such a good season like that. They learned they would get just that chance and that their season was extended another week on Wednesday afternoon after receiving one of four at-large bids into the 2025 NJCAA Division 2 Volleyball Championship field.

Making their first National Tournament since 2020, the Panthers earned the number fourteen seed and final at-large bid in the 20-team field and were placed in a play in match up with #19 St. Clair (MI). The Panthers are set for the play-in match up Wednesday, November 19th at 11 AM. The match will be broadcast live on the NJCAA Network. If NCCC were to win their opening round match on Wednesday, the Panthers would then play a second match on Wednesday evening at 7:30 PM against Parkland Community College.

This season, Neosho County holds a 22-11 overall record, with an early season win over the #2 seed in the National Tournament, Heartland Community College (IL).The Panthers saw nine of their regular-season matches come against teams that qualified for the 2025 National Tournament. The KJCCC/Region 6 Conference is represented well with #4 Kansas City Kansas, #5 Johnson County, & #6 Cowley College. The Tigers of Cowley College are the defending National Champions with Johnson County as the defending runner-up team.
