Chanute, KS - Women's Volleyball Trinity Collette earned Defensive player of the week for KJCCC after a stellar week that saw the panthers go 3-2 against some of the Nations best competition. See the full story from the conference below.

COLBY, Kan. – Cowley College volleyball players Ashlynn Jaccard and Hanna Darvas, along with Neosho County libero Trinity Collette, have all earned Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 2 Volleyball Player of the Week honors following five-match weeks for both the Tigers and Panthers last week.      
 
Ashlynn Jaccard (Cowley) - KJCCC D2 Volleyball Player of the Week
Jaccard had a monster week, leading the top-ranked Cowley volleyball team to a perfect 5-0 week while being named to the Cowley Invitational Tournament All-Tournament team. Hitting .645 for the week with 41 kills on 62 total swings, Jaccard averaged 2.73 kills per set as a middle hitter and provided seven service aces and eight total blocks. This season, Jaccard leads all NJCAA Division 2 volleyball players in attack percentage (.603).
 
Hanna Darvas (Cowley) – KJCCC D2 Volleyball Setter of the Week
Darvas surpassed the 2,000-career set assist mark this past week as the number one-ranked Cowley volleyball team went 5-0 with five straight-set victories at home last week. For the week, Darvas totaled 173 set assists and averaged 11.53 set assists per match, while adding 10 kills and nine service aces across the week. The sophomore also notched 41 total digs and three total blocks, proving to be an all-around threat as she was the only unanimous selection to the Cowley Invitational Tournament All-Tournament Team, which is selected by head coaches of participating teams. 
 
Trinity Collette (Neosho County) – KJCCC D2 Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week
Collette had a big week for the number 17-ranked Neosho County volleyball team, helping the Panthers go 3-2 on the week with a schedule that featured matches against three ranked opponents. For the week, Collette totaled 67 digs (3.94 per set) and reached double-figure digs in all five matches while recording just two receiving errors in 70 total attempts (.971 reception percentage). The freshman also added a service ace and 16 set assists as the Panthers finished the week with three straight wins after falling to number two KCKCC and number nine Iowa Central to start the week.
