The Neosho County Cross Country and Track & Field teams use the Chanute Sports Complex for their practice facility and any home Track & Field Compeitions. This multi-million dollar facility is one of the nicest facilities in the nation. The infield is an all weather turf playing surface utilized by the Neosho County Soccer teams for their home games as well as the Chanute High School Football and Soccer teams. The complex includes Field lights, as well as track lights, locker rooms, and a concession stand. The track surface was replaced just a couple years ago and features an 8 lane sandwich layer surface. The complex features 3 different runways that can be oriented either direction for the horizontal jumps, a Pole Vault runway that can go either direction as well as 2 high jump aprons, 2 discus rings, 2 shot put rings, 2 javelin runways and a Hammer Throw Cage. For a small town in Kansas it is quite the facility that would compete with almost any other Junior College Facility in the Country.
