One of the most successful seasons of Neosho County volleyball in 20 years is nearing the end. Wednesday night nine sophomores played their final home game for the Panthers. Using different rotations,
Asya Herron got all of her sophomores involved as the Neosho took down Friends University in straight sets 25-15, 25-15, 25-16.

Whitney Gifford as the only sophomores not to record a kill. Gifford did dig out 19 balls in the match while Broadfoot recorded her team leading 13
th double double of the season with 24 assists and 12 kills.
Alexis Fulghum led the Panthers with 11 kills in the match while hitting .474.
Genesis Mejias finished with 8 kills,
Tasha Wampler finished with 7, and Rosemerli Carrillo added 6. Sophomre
Shelby Ebarb, who saw limited action this season as she rehabs from knee surgery tallied a season high 6 kills.
Jessica Wehrli also recorded a season high with 2 kills to go with a pair of aces and four digs.
Hayley Christensen also added a kill on a night when every sophomore played a part in the win.
The Panthers finish the regular season 29-6 overall. The 29 wins is the most since they won 50 in 1994. This Saturday the Panthers will travel to Arkansas City, Kan., for the 2013 District Tournament. They will take on Butler Community College at 2:00 pm with the winner advancing to the championship match against either Cowley or Fort Scott.
