Fort Scott would go on a run after the timeout and took a 20-17 lead forcing the Panthers to use a timeout. It wouldn't stop the momentum however as the Greyhounds served for the set leading 24-21. Neosho seemed to break out of their funk at that point as they rallied to take a 25-24 lead and eventually won the set 28-26. Rosemerli Carrillo put the Panthers on her back down the stretch as she recorded five straight kills to help the Panthers take the set.

The Neosho County Panthers that fans were used to seeing during their 19 match win streak earlier in the season seemed to reappear in the 4th. The set was close early with the Panthers forcing a Greyhound timeout as they lead 13-11. After the timeout Neosho would catch fire and closed the set on a 12-4 run.

Despite their offensive struggles as a team, several Panthers set career highs in the win. Carrillo recorded career highs in both kills (16) and attempts (43) to lead the Panthers in both categories. She also finished with 14 digs for her 5th double double of the season. Laura Broadfoot posted her team leading 12th double double of the season with 44 assists and 10 digs while setting a career high with 4 blocks.

Tasha Wampler also finished with a career high 6 blocks to go with her 7 kills. The Panthers also posted a season high 17 blocks as a team in the win. On a night where she struggled hitting the ball, Carolina Alfonso responded by tying here career best with 26 digs.
The Panthers improve to 26-6 with the win and 7-2 in Region play. They remain in third in the Region 6 standings, 2 games back of leaders Johnson County and Cowley. The Panthers face a must win match Monday (Oct. 28) when they travel to Johnson County. The Cavaliers finish the season with matches against Neosho and Cowley. A loss to both the Panthers and the Tigers coupled with a Neosho win over Allen in their final conference match would secure one of the two top spots needed to host a regional.
