Neosho County Community College continued its strong run of form with an impressive 4–1 road victory over NJCAA Division I opponent Rose State College in Midwest City, Oklahoma.
The Panthers opened the scoring midway through the first half, capitalizing from a corner kick to take a deserved lead. Neosho continued to control large stretches of the contest, dictating the tempo and limiting opportunities for the hosts.
Despite the positive first-half performance, a lapse in concentration just before the break allowed Rose State to capitalize from a free kick and level the game at 1–1 heading into halftime.
The break gave Neosho an opportunity to digest the closing moments of the half, re-establish the game plan, and reinforce the importance of continuing with the approach that had brought success throughout the opening 45 minutes.
That response was evident immediately in the second half. The Panthers regained control of the contest and added three further goals, turning a level game at the break into a commanding 4–1 victory.
A composed and clinical second-half performance ultimately put the game beyond Rose State and capped off a successful road trip to Oklahoma. Another positive step forward for the Panthers as they continue to build momentum.
