Chanute, KS - The #2 ranked Neosho County Community College men's soccer team opened their home campaign on Saturday afternoon at the Chanute Sports Complex, facing a tough test against RV Western Iowa Tech Community College.
After a hard-fought first half, the breakthrough came in the 54th minute when sophomore defender Luke Butcher found the back of the net. The goal was created by an impressive long throw from Yuki Suzuki, whose delivery into the box set up Butcher's decisive finish to give the Panthers a 1-0 lead.
