CHANUTE, Kan. – The #2 ranked Neosho County Community College men's soccer team showed resilience in their KJCCC conference opener on Sunday afternoon, rallying from two goals down to secure a 2-2 draw with rivals Allen County Community College at the Chanute Sports Complex.

Allen County struck first in the 39th minute, taking advantage of a defensive lapse to grab the lead before halftime. The visitors extended their advantage midway through the second half, doubling their tally in the 68th minute to put the Panthers under pressure.

Needing a response, Neosho found their breakthrough in the 78th minute when sophomore forward Callum Niven calmly converted from the penalty spot to cut the deficit in half. With momentum shifting, Niven delivered again just eight minutes later, curling in a well-placed free kick in the 86th minute to bring the Panthers level.

Despite a late surge from both sides, the score remained 2-2, leaving the Panthers unbeaten on the season while beginning conference play with a valuable point.

Neosho County will look to build on their comeback performance when they return to action at home on Tuesday, September 9, hosting another top-20 showdown against Central Community College. Kickoff is set for 12:00 PM at the Chanute Sports Complex.
