IOLA, KS — Neosho County stayed unbeaten with a well-earned 1-0 road win over local rivals Allen County on Wednesday afternoon, thanks to a second-half goal from Adam Larkin.
The breakthrough came in the 48th minute, when Larkin rose above the defense to nod home a perfectly placed long throw-in from Yuki Suzuki, breaking the deadlock shortly after the restart.
The Panthers dominated the match, controlling possession and tempo throughout, and limiting Allen County to minimal opportunities. Despite creating several chances, Neosho had to settle for the single goal — but it was enough to take all three points in a tightly contested derby.
In goal, Josh Bogan recorded his fourth consecutive clean sheet, continuing a strong defensive stretch that has helped the Panthers remain unbeaten.
With the win, Neosho County improves to 8-0-2 on the season and strengthens their hold at the top of the table.
Next up: The Panthers return to Chanute this Saturday at 3:30 PM, where they'll host UA Cossatot and look to push their unbeaten streak to 11 matches.
