Overland Park, KS - The #5 Neosho County Men's Soccer team battled to a 2–2 draw on the road against #15 Johnson County in a thrilling top-15 match up on Saturday night.
The Panthers opened the scoring in the 41st minute when Danny Carroll slotted home a rebound after a dangerous Chris Armitage free kick caused problems in the box.
Johnson County responded early in the second half, converting two penalties in quick succession in the 54th and 56th minutes to take the lead.
Neosho showed their trademark resilience, finding an equalizer through Paul Eder, who reacted quickest after Callum Niven's strike came off the post to level the game.
The draw keeps the Panthers unbeaten on the season, continuing an impressive run of form against tough opposition.
Neosho County will be back in action Wednesday at 7:30 PM, hosting Southeast CC under the lights at the Chanute Sports Complex.
