Chanute, KS - Neosho Men's Soccer faced a tough challenge Wednesday as they faced #7 Ranked Johnson County Community College. The match began as a balanced contest, but Neosho struck first in the 33rd minute when #14 Dylan Roberts found the back of the net assisted by #10 Asaph Silveira, giving the Panther a 1-0 lead. Neosho continued to dominate through the first half and held their defense strong going into the second half leading 1-0. Neosho started the second half strong with a goal in the 48th minute from #4 Luke Butcher assisted by #3 Joe Taylor, the Panthers now with a 2-0 lead. The Panthers conceded a set piece in the 63rd minute to make the score 2-1 putting Johnson back in the game. Neosho just 10 minutes later slotted away another goal from #14 Dylan Roberts assisted by Joe Taylor. The Panthers put away their last goal in the 80th minute by #3 Joe Taylor assisted by Malique Roach. Neosho let in just one more goal before the end of the game to walk away with a dominant victory over Johnson County. The Panthers are back in action on Saturday, September 14th at 3:30 pm at Chanute Community Sports
