Chanute, KS - Neosho Men's Soccer opened their season at home with their first ranking game against Dodge City. The Panthers needing a good result to start the season strong go up 1-0 just five minutes into the game with a goal from Asaph Silveira assisted by Dylan Roberts. Just four minutes later Neosho doubled their lead with a goal from Callum Niven assisted by Captain Tom Devonport. Dodge City went on to score 2 goals through the rest of the first half and equalize with the game all square going into the second half.

Asaph Silveira netted once again, assisted by Callum Niven opens the second half with an incredible strike from outside the box to put Neosho up 3-2 and just minutes later finishes off his hat trick with a stunning freekick, Neosho leading 4-2. The Panthers sealed the deal by going up 5-2 with a goal in the 79th minute from Paul Eder assisted by Asaph Silveira.

Neosho move to 1-0-0 on the season and are back in action at home on Wednesday, August 28th against Coffeyville.
