Box Score 2 Chanute, KS (April 10, 2022) – Neosho Softball gets another sweep for the week, this time at home against Cloud Community College. The Panthers had a short day today as both games resulted in blowouts with scores of 10-2 and 9-1.
At the Plate:
The Panthers continued to have hot bats at the plate as a team. There was a total of 17 hits and 19 runs over 10 innings, with three Panthers having multiple hit days and 10 of 13 Panthers reaching base on hits.
Espy Daniels led the day with a 4-for-4 in game one, and
Riley Kennedy and
Devynn Raile had two hits apiece in game two.
Makenzie Haslett hit her second homer of the season with a big 3-run shot to centerfield in the bottom of the first inning.
In the Circle:
The combined efforts of
Olivia Cummings,
Cassidy Paulson, and
Ellie Kuntz on the mound gave the Panthers two more wins Sunday afternoon.
Starting game one, Cummings went six innings surrendering two runs on six hits, walking zero, and striking out six. Paulson started game two and went four innings allowing one unearned run on three hits, walking zero, and striking out five before Kuntz came in relief. Kuntz faced five batters giving up one walk, no hits, and one strikeout to finish the game in the top of the fifth.

The Panthers have a big week ahead of them as they enter the second round of Conference games with Highland CC on Tuesday and Cowley College on Thursday before the Holiday weekend.
