Kansas City, KS - Neosho Panthers dropped game 1, 7-4 to KCK on Saturday. Neosho came out strong, getting on the board first in the opening inning when
Brenna Kohlmeier ripped a double to bring in a run.

Delaney Hill and Kohlmeier each had two hits to pace the Panthers' offense. KCK answered immediately in the bottom of the first, turning the game around with a five-run inning on four hits to take a 5-1 lead.
KCK added to its lead in the sixth inning with a solo home run.
Kamden Bray took the loss for Neosho, throwing six innings and allowing seven runs (three earned) on nine hits while striking out three and walking one. Neosho finished with 11 hits overall. Hill led the way in the middle of the lineup with two RBIs, going 2-for-4 at the plate.
Game two: Neosho Panthers battled in game two but came up short in a 5-1 loss. KCK struck first in the opening inning to take an early 1-0 lead. Neosho answered in the top of the third, showing patience at the plate as
Brenna Kohlmeier battled through a long at-bat before doubling to center field to drive in the tying run. The game stayed tight until the fourth inning, when KCK regained control. #19 scored on a sacrifice to break the tie, and a Neosho error allowed another run to cross, stretching the lead to 3-1.
Pilar Cox put together a solid outing on the mound for Neosho, going six innings and allowing five runs, only one of them earned, on six hits while striking out three and walking three. Offensively, Neosho tallied hits from
Melannie Townes,
Sadie Bowyer, Cox, and Kohlmeier, with Kohlmeier also driving in the team's lone run. The Panthers also turned a double play during the game.
Neosho Panthers will take on Johnson in a double-header on Thursday, April 23rd in Chanute, KS.
