Box Score Chanute, KS - Neosho County Men's Soccer were looking to take their good performance against Dodge into an important conference game against #16 ranked Coffeyville. Neosho came out flat from the start of the game, goalkeeper Ryusei Ota made some good saves early on to keep the score line 0-0. Coffeyville got a deserved goal midway through the first half with a shot from distance which found the back of the net, the left winger from Coffeyville cut inside and curled his shot with his right foot into the top corner. Neosho grabbed an equalizer towards the end of the half from a long throw in which Jack Kay flicked on in the box, Max Kay got on the end of the flick to burry the ball in the back of the net. At half time the score line was 1-1, Neosho was fortunate to find themselves level at half time.

Neosho were a bit more solid in the second half at the back but Coffeyville continued to win more first and second balls in the midfield and showed a bit more desire. Coffeyville found the winner late in the second half from their striker, number 30 who was a handful all day, he was able to run in behind the defense and put the shot on goal. Coffeyville took home the win from the Panthers.

Neosho will face KCK on the road Saturday, Oct. 8th with a 7.30 pm Kick off.
