Dodge City, KS - After a couple of hard loses the Neosho men were hoping to get back to winning ways. They traveled to Dodge City to take on the #14 ranked team in the country. They started the game well after
Matty Welding did well at the back post to head in a corner from Leonardo Menzden to make it 1-0. Neosho came under a bit of pressure then for the next 15 minutes and conceded a sloppy goal from a poorly dealt cross, the score was all tied up a half time.
Neosho started well in the second half and
Jack Kay put Neosho back ahead after he was 1v1 with the keeper and coolly took it around him to pass it into the net. Neosho added another when
Warren Sung put a good cross into the box, David Comai flicked it on and Matteo Hoyos headed the ball into the back of the net. Neosho put the game away when
Jack Kay won a free kick and
Felix Hellberg whipped in the free kick from 35 yards out, straight in the top corner. Neosho will now hope to continue the good form against Coffeyville another ranked opponent on Wednesday, the game kicks off at 7.30pm at the Chanute Community Sports Complex.
