The Panthers survived a road scare at Bethany, squandering an 18-point lead in the first half. The Swedes led NCCC 59-57 with less than six minutes to play before a
Micah Jones conventional three-point play gave Neosho a lead they wouldn't surrender in a 70-64 victory. Jones finished with a team-high 20 points, leading three players in double figures. Freshman
Ayuel Ayuel added 11 points and 11 rebounds, both of which were career-highs.

A 104-55 win over McPherson on Friday saw one of Neosho County's most complete performances of the season.

After sprinting out to a 16-3 lead, the Panthers led 38-23 late in the first half before throwing a knockout punch in the form of a 17-2 run that saw four different players score. Sharing was the theme of the night with all 10 players that suited up recording an assist as the team finished with a 28. Six different players finished in double figures, led by
Jerry Carraway's 16 points (5-7 3FG) and career-high 13 rebounds. Ayuel reestablished a career-high on the glass with 13 rebounds.

Now sitting at 8-5, the Panthers open Jayhawk Conference play on Wednesday by hosting Hesston College (9-5). Neosho County's five losses came to teams that are a combined 59-22. Four of those teams are D1 programs with double digit wins.
