IOLA, Kan. — The Neosho County Panthers battled through an intense double-overtime contest on the road Monday night but ultimately came up short, falling 87–78 to Allen County.
Neosho County showed resilience throughout the matchup, forcing not one but two overtime periods against a tough Allen County squad. Despite the loss, several Panthers delivered standout performances in the hard-fought effort.
Champ Powaukee led the way with a dominant double-double, finishing with 23 points and 10 rebounds.
Eriq Caraballo provided strong support outside, recording 18 points and 8 rebounds.
Jayce Cooper was disruptive on both ends of the floor, contributing 16 points while coming away with an impressive six steals.
Adyn Prophete added valuable minutes and presence in the paint, tallying 9 points and 8 rebounds.
The Panthers will look to bounce back quickly as they return home for their next contest.
