Box Score Women's falls 2-0 to the Coffeyville Red Ravens.
Neosho opened up their third conference game Wednesday evening against Coffeyville at the Chanute Soccer Complex.
Â
How it happened;
Â
The game between the two teams became a very cagey affair in which both teams had created chances but failed to convert any into the back of the net. The panthers came close in the 23
rd minute as
Riley Kennedy broke through with a ball from
Gabriela Moreno that the Coffeyville goalkeeper pulled off a smart save. The panthers fought a strong fight until the Red Ravens broke through with quiet a superb strike from 20 yards out that left the panther goalkeeper
Shyanna Reich unable to stop the ball. This left the first half of the game with the panthers loosing 1-0
Â
The second half was much of the same, both teams trying to attack and convert the ball into the goal but without conviction until Coffeyville scored their second to put them 2-0 up on the panthers. The panthers never gave up and continued to fight throughout the whole game leaving the final score a 2-0 loss.
Â
The panthers will travel to Barton Community College Saturday to play their next game in conference with a kick off at 1.00PM
