Iola, KS — In a fierce rivalry showdown on Wednesday night, Neosho County Community College women's soccer showed grit, composure, and firepower as they came from behind to defeat Allen County Community College 3-1 on enemy turf.

Allen CCC struck first early in the first half, capitalizing on a defensive lapse to take a 1-0 lead and shift the momentum their way. But Neosho didn't back down—instead, they responded with the determination that's come to define this rivalry.

Freshman Katie Smart leveled the score just before halftime with an across goal finish after a great ball from Aurelia Smith. The equalizer gave Neosho the spark they needed heading into the break.

Freshman Halle Dolphin found the net with a composed finish from outside the box shortly after, putting the Panthers ahead and silencing the Allen crowd. Just ten minutes later, Melissa Riley sealed the comeback with a out of this world strike from outside the box, making it 3-1 and securing a crucial win in the Jayhawk Conference race.
