The Panthers played host to the Wolves of Metropolitan Community College this afternoon, in non-conference play. This game was not only the last regular season action for the Panthers, it was also the last game at Hudson Field for 2021. Neosho County did not disappoint, as they took down the Wolves 8-5. The win sends the Panthers overall record to 25-25 on the year.
The Panthers sent
Brady Pacha to the hill to start the single 9 inning contest. Pacha tossed 5.0 innings, gave up 1 earned run, and scattered 3 hits.
Nathan Hungate tossed 2.0 innings out of the pen giving up 2 earned runs on 3 hits. His performance was good enought to get the win in this ballgame.
Tyler McQuinn and
Brett Wiemers also tossed the tail end of the contest, to hold off the Wolves in 9 innings. Offensively, the Panthers scored 8 runs on 13 hits.

What's Next:
The Panthers sweep in KJCCC play against the Scotties of Highland this weekend, secured them the #7 seed in the East for the postseason. Postseason action is set for the 14th, 15th, and 16th of May. The playoff format has changed a little bit this year, and will now be 4 team regionals. The Panthers are unsure where they will end up traveling to, as there are a couple of team in the hunt for the #2 seed on the West.
