Chanute, KS – The 17
th ranked Panthers fall to the Blue Devils of Kansas City Kansas Monday night in three (25-23, 25-22, 25-16). Neosho would fall behind in set one early with KCK taking a lead of 13-5. The Panthers would then rally together points to close the eight point gap to four making it 19-15. The Panthers would pull within one at 24-23, before KCK would take the set. Set two the Panthers would make a run and take a four point lead at 18-14 before the Blue Devils rallied four points together to tie it 18-18. KCK would take the lead and take set two 25-22. Neosho would end up falling in set three 25-16.
The Panthers offense was led by freshman middle
Samantha Johnson who tallied 11 kills in the match. On the defensive end the Panthers were led by freshman libero
Brooklyn Strobel who tallied 18 digs in the match.
The Panthers now move to 8-5 overall and 7-4 in conference. Neosho will head to Coffeyville on Thursday, March, 11th to take on the Red Ravens of Coffeyville Community College at 6:30 pm.
