Coffeyville, KS – Neosho Volleyball would fall to Coffeyville in four sets on Thursday night. The Panthers had a slow start to the first set and found them trailing 17-9. They were down 21-14, before breaking Coffeyville's run. The Panthers would go on a service run to pull ahead at 24-22. The Panthers scored the last point, but a reverse call from the refs would give Coffeyville the point, with a score of 24-23. Coffeyville would go on a three point run to end the set 26-24. Neosho was able to re-group after the first set loss to come back in set two and take the win with a score of 25-19. In set three, the Panthers found themselves once again trailing the Ravens. The Panthers were unable to close the gap and Coffeyville finished off set three by a score of 25-16. Set four was a back and forth affair, but a late run allowed Ravens to take the set and the match by a score of 25-21.
The Panthers move to 7-5 in conference play and 8-6 overall. Next week the Panthers will host three conference matches. Neosho will take on Highland on Monday, March 15th at 6:30 pm, Cloud County on Thursday, March 18th at 6:30 pm, and Johnson County on Saturday, March 20 at 6:30 pm.
