Chanute, KS – The Neosho County volleyball team took care of business Thursday night against the 15
th ranked Tigers of Cowley College in four sets. (25-20, 25-14, 25-21, 25-15). The Panthers would fall in the first set after a point for point start. The set would get tied up at 13-13 before the Tigers would take a two point lead.The Tigers were able to hang on to that lead and take set one 25-20. The Panthers were able to come out strong in set two with a 17-7 lead. Not letting up the Panthers pulled out on top in the second set 25-14. The Tigers were not going to give up, and came out in set three with an early 5-9 lead. After some strong serving by the Panthers and errors on the Tigers, Neosho was able to pull ahead and take a 13-10 lead over the Tigers. The Panthers did not give up their lead in the set and finished out set three 25-21. The Panthers took their momentum and went right into set four coming out with a strong 12-2 lead over the Tigers. Aggressive serving, again, would lead the Panthers to take the fourth set 25-15.

Jolene Tidwell who both recorded 9 kills in the match.
Neosho moves to 3-1 on the season and 3-0 in conference. With one more match to play this week, Neosho and Johnson County are still the two remaining undefeated teams in conference. The Panthers take on Kansas City Kansas Community College on Saturday February, 6 in Kansas City.
