Chanute, KS – The Lady Panthers swept Hesston College on Thursday night to capture their first conference win of the season. The Panthers jumped out on top in the first set 4-1 before letting Hesston come back to tie it up at 4-4. After an error by Hesston, the Panthers went on a run to take the first set 25-9. The second set was back and forth up until 5-5, before the Panthers took the lead and went on a run to win the second set 25-15. The panthers jumped on Hesston early in the third and ran with it, making limited errors, for a final score of 25-9.

The Panthers are now 1-1 overall on the season and 1-0 in conference. They look to continue conference play with a big week against #11 Fort Scott on Monday, #15 Cowley College on Thursday, and #18 Kansas City Kansas on Saturday. There are still no fans through February 5, the conference presidents will be voting again on February 1, 2021.
