Fort Scott, KS - On Monday night, the Panthers took down conference rivals Fort Scott, who are currently ranked #11 in the nation in a thrilling five set match. Both teams battled in all five sets, but the Panthers were able to come out on top and take the match 3-2. (25-21, 21-25, 23-25, 25-19, 15-10) The Panthers would jump out to an 18-9 lead before the Greyhounds would go on a run and eventually pull within 3 points, making the score 23-20. The Panthers were able to pull away and finish the set 25-21. The Panthers hoped to take that momentum and energy into set two, but the Greyhounds were able to take the lead and ended up coming out on top in set two. In set three the Panthers gained an 8 point lead before letting the Greyhounds go on an 8-0 run, which tied the set at 16 points. Fort Scott would eventually take set three. The Panthers fought back and took sets four and five to win the match.

Jolene Tidwell and freshman outside
Riley Kallevig, who both tallied 13 kills for the Panthers. Followed by freshman middle
McKinley Pruitt who tallied 11. Freshman setter,
Rylee Moseman, led the team in blocks with 5 block assists. Rylee also recorded 48 assists on the match. Freshman libero
Brooklyn Strobel led the team in digs with 22 and in aces with 3.
The Panthers are now 2-1 overall on the season and remain undefeated in conference with a 2-0 record. Neosho and Johnson County remain the two undefeated teams in conference. Back in action on Thursday, February 4
th the Panthers will take on #15 ranked Cowley College at home.
