Dodge City, KS- The Panther volleyball team made a statement Tuesday evening sweeping both Pratt Community College and Dodge City Community College. The two wins moved the Panthers to 5-1 on the season.
 
Neosho came out with their foot on the gas in set one versus Pratt defeating them 25-9  and didn't give them any breathing room finishing the next two sets 25-21 & 25-6. Savana Godfrey led the attack with 9 kills, 0 errors and 16 attempts hitting .562 for the match. Hanna Mowdy and Carlee Noll followed with 8 kills each. Jenna DeVore earned a double-double tallying 26 assists and 13 digs while tacking on 5 aces.
 
In the second match-up of the evening Neosho took on the Dodge City Conquistadors. The Panthers started off slow the first two sets allowing Dodge to set the pace, but pulled out wins with scores of 25-22 and 25-20. The third set was a much different story, as the Panthers over powered the Conqs 25-15. Savana Godfrey again led the attack with 9 kills on 25 attempts, while Jenna DeVore earned 10 assists per set. Defensively the Panthers were solid with Michaela Bowers earning a season high 19 digs.
 
Neosho travels to Highland Community College on Friday, August 30^th to take on NEO A&M (OK) at 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm versus Southwestern Community College (IA).
