Box Score 2 Highland, KS- Neosho softball had trouble keeping up with Highland Community College in an 8-0 loss on Monday. A single by
Kinsley Stewart in the first inning was a positive for the Panthers in game one.
Kaelee Escoe took the loss for Neosho. She surrendered eight runs on eight hits over five and a third innings, striking out seven. The Panthers tallied six hits.
Alyssa Rogers and
Libby Horton both had multiple hits for the Panthers in game one.
In game two Neosho fell to Highland Community College 11-10 in the final play of the game. Highland Community College was down 10-9 in the bottom of the seventh inning when a double scored the winning run. Neosho lost despite out-hitting Highland Community College 14 to 12. The Panthers opened up scoring in the second inning when
Sierra Spurlock hit a solo homer. In the top of the fifth inning, Neosho tied things up at three. The Panthers scored one run when
Alyssa Rogers doubled. Neosho also notched five runs in the fifth inning.

Kat McManus all drove in runs in the frame.
Chaffin took the loss for the Panthers. She allowed seven hits and six runs over four and a third innings, striking out two and walking one.
