The Neosho Panthers went on the road to Independence and lost to the Pirates Wednesday night in a KJCCC weekday game.

The Pirates just two games above the Panthers on conference play came out hitting on all cylinders as they scorched the nets from three and dominating the paint, scoring 43pts in the first half. The Panthers on the other hand struggled to make shots and ended the half with a season low 25pts.

Coming out of the locker room the Panthers tried to make a push but just couldn't get things going and the Pirates continued their hot shooting finishing the Panthers off 78-55. The Panthers are now 3 games behind the Pirates in conference play and 4 games out of a home play-off game with 10 conference games remaining.

Panthers will return home Saturday afternoon for a 4pm tip vs Dodge City Community College who is 1 game behind the Panthers in conference play.
