Panther Softball Goes 4-0 in KJCCC Conference Games

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 Lady Panthers have a great outing this past weekend coming out with two sweeps against Cloud County Community College and Brown Mackie College. The Lady Panthers played solid defense against Cloud game one taking it into 12 innings and winning 5-4. Game two The Lady Panthers would explode offensively winning 8-4. The Lady Panthers would carry their offense over against Brown Mackie on Saturday taking game one 15-0 in 5 innings. However, game two The Lady Panthers would struggle at the plate pulling out a 12-8 win.
 
Game 1 would be scoreless until the 4th inning; Cloud would jump to a 1-0 lead. The Lady Panthers would answer back in the 5th inning tying the game 1-1. Game 1 would remain scoreless until the 10th inning with The Lady Panthers scoring 3 runs; Cloud would answer back scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the 10th inning. The Lady Panthers would come out and score 1 run in the 11th inning. They would take the field in the bottom of the 11th inning not allowing Cloud to score ending the game with a score of    5-4.
 
Game 2 The Lady Panthers would jump to a 4-0 lead in the top of the 1st. Cloud would answer back in the bottom of the 2nd and 3rd inning cutting the lead 4-2. The Lady Panthers would add two more runs in the top of the 5th an two more runs in the top of the 7th.  The Lady Panthers would complete the sweep with an 8-4.
 
Game 1 against Brown Mackie The Lady Panthers jump to a quick 4-0 lead and never look back. They would then score in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th inning as well as playing outstanding defense. Lady Panthers would take game 1 in a run rule with a score of 15-0 in 5 innings.
 
Game 2 The Lady Panthers would take the lead 2-0 in the top of the 1st inning. They would score every inning except for the 6th inning. Brown Mackie would score 3 runs in the bottom of the 3rd, 5th, 6th, and 7th inning. The Lady Panthers would hang on to complete the sweep with a 12-8 win.
 
Taylor Holtkamp would pitch 20 and 2/3s innings out of the 31 innings on the weekend. She would record 11 strikeouts on the weekend. Katie Jahay, Lily Ross, and Taylor Bolden would be the powerhouse of The Lady Panthers offense. Nia Maxwell, Taylor Bolden, and Taylor Pence played outstanding defense on the weekend.
