The Neosho County men's soccer team showed their scoring power last night in the 4-0 win over Hesston College.
The Panthers started the first half well and created some great opportunities.
Jack Lambert had a goal scoring opportunity cleared off the line by a Hesston defender and a few minutes later
Andre Van Es hit the inside of the post on a 1 on 1 situation. Neosho County would finally get the opening goal in the 38th minute through
Renan Raposo, who got on the end of a through ball by
Tim Williamson.
Neosho County continued to put on the pressure and create goal-scoring opportunities in the second half.
Ian Shirley managed to get on the end of a free kick that was headed back across goal by
Orsy Gonzalez.
Orsy Gonzalez then went from provider to goalscorer when he finished an excellent corner from
Roberto Romero.
The fourth goal came late on in the second half as
Matheus Alves got on the end of a through ball by
Misael Cordero.
The Panthers will now begin preparation for a tough road game at Blue River this Saturday. Both Neosho County and Blue River are currently receiving votes in the NJCAA National Poll.
