Panthers suffer first loss of the season in a very physical game Saturday night.
The Neosho County men's soccer team held a 1-0 score line for the majority of the game, but two goals in the last 30 minutes gave the Panthers a loss on their home opener.
Neosho County dominated most of the first half. Freshmen
Jack Lambert opened up the scoring after 16 minutes on a feed from
Renan Raposo for his first career goal.
The Panthers were then unlucky to have a goal disallowed for offside late on in the half.
Rose State took control of the second half and tied the game up with 58 minutes gone on the clock. The game-winner came on the 78th minute; a long distant effort snuck past goalkeeper
Ryan Davis. Davis finished the game with 7 saves.
The next up for the men's team will be
an away game at Hesston College on Tuesday.
The game will be played at 7 p.m.
