Two days after a hard fought game at Rockhurst University, the Neosho County Community College men's soccer team welcomed Ottawa University to the Chanute Sports Complex for their second scrimmage of the season.
Ottawa took full advance of the Panthers' slow start by getting the opening goal early on in the first half. As the game went on, the Neosho players became more comfortable and began to move the ball around well. Two quick goals late on in the first half by
Jack Lambert and
Alejandro Dominguez turned the game 2-1 in the Panthers favor.
In the second half, the Panthers attack started to click. They managed to add 3 more goals for a final score of 5-1. Freshmen,
Matheus Alves and, returners
Orsy Gonzalez and
Ryan Davis all got their names on the scoresheet.
Neosho County will be back in action on Saturday, Aug. 22nd at 5 p.m as they host Rose State on their home opener.
