The Panthers hosted Johnson County at home today for a double header at Hudson Field. Neosho would lose game one of the double header 2-1. Game two would be a tough fought game by both team, but Johnson would win that game 8-7.
Game one of the double header was a pitchers dual at its best.
Jeremy Mansur would go six innings for the Panthers only giving up two earned runs on four hits. With the wind blowing in from center all day the bats were slow to start for both teams. Neosho would score first in the fourth inning of play, but Johnson would come right back and score one in the fifth and one more in the sixth to get on top 2-1. The Panthers wouldn't be able to get anymore runs across the plate, and would lose the game 2-1.
Game two would start out with both teams scoring one run in the first inning. In the second Johnson would score three runs to take the lead 4-1 going into the bottom of the second. The Panthers would score four in the bottom of the third inning to take a 5-4 lead over the Cavaliers. In the fourth both teams wold score two runs to make the score 7-6 going into the top of the fifth inning. Johnson wold score one in the sixth, and one more in the eighth to take the lead 8-7. Neosho would not be able to get the runs needed across the plate, and would lose the ball game.

Levi Ashmore, going 4-7 on the day. Neosho will take on Crowder Tuesday at home for a non conference double header.
