Neosho hosted the Lions of Brown Mackie at home today for a double header. The Panthers would score first in game one, with 2 runs in the 3
rd inning.
Levi Ashmore would lead the offensive attack going 2-2 in the first game with 2 walks as well.
Casey Quinlan would hold the lead there until the 4
th giving up his only earned run of the day. The Panthers would tack on 2 more with a wild pitch, and double from sophomore
Tyler Sutherland in the 6
th to make it a 4-1 ball game. The Panther's defense would hold the lead and finish the game with a 4-1 victory.
Game 2 got off to a quicker start for Neosho with the Panthers scoring 2 runs in the first inning. The Panther's defense held the Lions to a scoreless second inning, which allowed the offense to continue to give the Freshman
Trent Latta run support. Neosho would score 1 run in the 3
rd inning and another in the 5
th to make it a 4-0 ball game. Â
Jonah Bride would have 2 hits in the game along with 3 RBI's to help the Panthers secure the win. Freshman
Trent Latta made his college debut on the mound with a complete game shutout for the Panthers.
