With cold temperatures and howling winds the Panthers got the season underway. The bats led the way in the first game scoring five in the first inning, and tacking on three more in the second.  Neosho would go on to short-game the Braves scoring one more in the third and another in the fifth. Jeremy Mansur held down the mound with 8 strikeouts in 5 innings of work and 0 earned runs.

The second game got off to a slower start for the Panthers. The Braves would score first in the first inning, but that would be quickly answered by the Panthers scoring 2 in the bottom of the inning to take back the lead.  After the second inning the Panthers would score in each inning, putting up 12 total runs to short-game the Braves once again. Josh Willis got the start on the mound and would go 4 1/3 innings with relief from Drew Johnson and Easton Barnes to close out the game. Levi Ashmore had 4 hits on the day and led the bats for the Panthers. On the base paths Darian Abram added speed to the Panther's offense with 4 stolen bases on the day.
