Box Score After learning that their postseason bid was over before the match even began, The Neosho County Community College Panthers(7-10-1) went out with a statement against the visiting Allen Community College Red Devils(5-12). A very early goal from Allen's #2 Rashsei Thompson at the 30 second mark go this rivalry game going. This would be followed by a back and forth standstill until Panther's #15
Ismael Serratos broke through the Allen defense and scored his second goal of the season at the 12:20 mark. After Serratos' goal, the Panthers took charge of the game and began to control possession. Just a few seconds later, a freekick by
Sam Gavin was headed in for an own goal by an Allen defender. The rest of the half went Neosho's way as they continued to keep possession and create chances.
The second half started out much like the first with Panthers
Orsy Gonzalez and
Jaime Soto joining the midfield to create opportunities. The third goal did not come until the 63:50 minute mark as Panther's #17 Ibrahim Villodas managed to put one away from twenty yards out. Scoring his first goal of the night at the 81:12 mark was Neosho's
Sam Gavin. With a 4-1 lead the Panthers intensity kept going ultimately resulting in another goal from
Sam Gavin to end his stellar career at Neosho. Allens #14 Damian Munoz scored at the 89:50 mark, but this proved to be too late as the Panthers ended the season with a 5-2 win over the Red Devils. The Panthers will look towards the off-season to regroup for the 2016 campaign.
