Ryan Davis stopped a career high nine shots as Neosho (11-3, 6-1) picked up a 2-1 win over Dodge City (9-4-2, 3-2-2) to extend their win streak to seven straight . The win pulls the Panthers within one point of Jayhawk Conference leader Coffeyville with two games to play.
Opening the game, the Neosho Panthers showcased some of their speed and agility as
Nelson Landaverde scored the matches' first goal in the 15th minute. Dodge City was relatively quick to answer as they gained a goal in the 23rd minute. It was the first goal allowed by
Ryan Davis' in over 300 minutes of play dating back to September 23 against Kansas City Kansas.
The Panthers would regain the lead 10 minutes later as they capitalized on a mental lapse from Dodge City as they were called for a handball inside the box.
