Box Score The Neosho County Panthers were held under 90 points for the first time all season and Dodge City held off a late comeback to defeat the Panthers 92-87.

The game featured 14 ties and 11 lead changes, but the difference in the ballgame would come at the free throw line. On a night that saw 58 fouls and 91 free throws, those free throws proved to be the difference. Dodge City got to the line five more times and made six more free throws.

Four Panthers finished in double figures on the night. Charles Cooper and Brett Frantz each had 15 while henry Buckley and BJ Jenkins added 14. Joseph Acuil grabbed a game high 11 rebounds in the loss to go with 9 points.

The Panthers will face another tough test this weekend when they travel to the Best Western/Cougar Booster Classic at Barton Community College. They will face host Barton County on Friday at 7:30 pm followed by a rematch with DII No. 5 Johnson County Saturday at 3:00.
