Box Score The men's soccer completed their four game homestand last night when they hosted Allen County Community College. The Panthers lost 3-1 during a game in which the Panthers had to play a man down for most of the match.
Allen County started the scoring early in the game, but Neosho answered right back when they were awarded a penalty kick and
Nelson Landaverde scored that.
Minutes after that Darren Towell was ejected from the game after receiving two yellow cards and Neosho was down to 10 men for the rest of the game.
The halftime score was 1-1 and Allen County scored a minute into the second half when they were awarded a penalty kick. The Panthers had a lot of opportunities to tie the game even though they were a man down, but couldn't finish those.
"This was a very frustrating game because of the red card so early in the game. If we played this game even there is no doubt in my mind we win this game. Our team lacked some composure which cost us and hopefully our kids learn from this going into our last regular season game and our playoff game next weekend," stated Coach Harrison.
The Panthers are now 11-5-1 and will travel to Dodge City on Wednesday for a 3:30 PM kickoff to end their regular season.Â
