Box Score The men's soccer team hosted Cloud County Community College in the second game of a four game home stand this past Sunday. The Panthers came out on top 2-1 in a very even contest for the entire 90 minutes.
Aaron Strunk started the scoring for the Panthers to give them a 1-0 lead with an assist by Matt Hodgson. Cloud County scored a little bit later on a nice set piece goal right outside the 18 yard box. The Panthers kept playing after that and took the lead with about 9:00 minutes to go. Nelson Landaverde scored a great goal outside the 18 yard box into the upper 90 of the goal giving the Panthers the game winner.
"This was a great win for our program and our kids. Cloud is a very skilled team and we knew we had to play a great game to win. We now have a week off to prepare for our next game vs. KCK," stated Coach Harrison.
The Panthers are now 10-4-1 overall and there are a lot of playoff scenarios that can still play out over the last 2 ½ weeks of the season.
