Kyllie Sill, starting pitcher for the Neosho Panthers and her defense worked hard, fought through errors and was up on the Highland Scotties until the 6
th inning when Highland proved to be too much for the Panthers. Sill held the Scotties scoreless until the 5
th inning when Highland lead off the inning with a solo homerun. That was the only run they would score that inning. The 6
th inning was a completely different ballgame however. Errors plagued the Panthers, causing them to give the game up 5-2.
Game two of the day didn't prove much better. With Highland jumping out to an early 4-1 lead after the second inning, Neosho would only score one more time in the 4
th inning. Highland ended the game early in the 5
th inning scoring 5 runs to make the score 10-2.
Neosho faces Cloud County on Friday the 30
th and Brown Mackie on the 31
st for the last away weekend series of the season.
