Coming off of two wins against Pratt before spring break, the Lady Panthers used their momentum to take them into another win against Independence on Sunday.
Kyllie Sill and her defense stayed on top of the Pirates only allowing three runs for the game. While offense for the Panthers got off to a slow start, Neosho chipped away scoring two runs in the 4
th, three in the 5
th and three in the 7
th to put away Independence 8-3.
Second game was a bit of a different story for Neosho. With Independence going three up, three down in every inning but one, the Panthers couldn't get anything going to help themselves out. Independence jumped out to an early 6-0 lead after just two innings and never let up from the Panthers. The second game ended with a run-rule after 5 innings with the Pirates ahead of the Panthers 8-0.
Neosho Panther softball is back in action on Tuesday, 27
th traveling to Highland Community College for a 2&4 matchup.
