Yonnie Manning scored her first career goal as the Panthers defeated Northeastern Oklahoma A&M Sunday night to improve to 9-6-1 overall.
 
Head coach Damon Solomon used the non-conference game to move some players around and try out some different formations. Defensive specialist Carsyn Beard spent time up top in the second half along freshman Yonnie Manning. Manning, who recorded a pair of shutouts as the goal keeper last week, would score the game's only goal with 22:00 minutes left when she was hit on a long pass over the top from Karen Ordonez.
 
Solomon was pleased with his teams play in the win. “I thought the girls did a great job when they were put in some different positions. I was really proud of the way they played and I was very excited for Yonnie to score her first goal.”
 
The Panthers will play their final regular season game of the year Wednesday (Oct. 17 ) when they host Hesston College. Kickoff for the match is set for 7:00pm at the Chanute Sports Complex.
