High School: Played volleyball and threw the javelin for the Lawrence (Kan.) High School...Earned Honorable mention All-Conference honors as a senior.

Personal: Both parents were collegiate athletes...Mother, Angela played basketball at Tabor College...Father, Ron ran track and cross country for Pittsburg State University...Chose Neosho over Missouri Southern State University.
