Nelson Landaverde is entering his first year as the men’s and women’s soccer assistant coach for Neosho County Community College. This promotion comes after Coach Landeverde spent two full seasons as the assistant coach for the Men's and Women's teams. Landaverde helped lead the men’s program to a 15-4-1 record and the women’s team to a 7-11 record. Coach Landaverde is no stranger to the men’s program, as he is a former Panther. He spent the 2013 and 2014 season with Neosho County, winning the KJCCC Conference while earning KJCCC 1st Team All-Conference and NJCAA All-American honors.
Landaverde graduated with a Physical Education degree from Valparaiso University where he was also part of their NCAA Division I men’s soccer program from 2015 to 2017.
Prior to attending Neosho County Community College, Landaverde attended Springdale High School in Arkansas. As part of a very successful program at Springdale he won the 6A Arkansas Boys Soccer State title. He was named 1st Team All-State and won the Arkansas State Gatorade Soccer Player of the Year. Coach Landaverde spent this past summer playing for NPSL side FC Wichita. He was an integral part of the team that made it to the 3rd round of the US Open Cup beating professional USL side Tulsa Roughnecks.
