Chanute, KS - Neosho County fell to Fort Scott by a final score of 73–60 on Saturday afternoon in Chanute. Despite the setback, Neosho County turned in several strong individual performances throughout the contest.
Champ Powaukee led the way offensively, finishing with a team-high 19 points while also pulling down six rebounds.
Eriq Caraballo was active on both ends of the floor, contributing 12 points and eight rebounds.
Jayce Cooper provided a spark defensively, adding 10 points and recording three steals.
Neosho County battled throughout the game, but Fort Scott was able to maintain control down the stretch to secure the road victory.
The Panthers will look to bounce back in their next contest as they hit the road to face Allen County on Saturday, January 24, with tipoff scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
