Chanute, KS- The Panthers split at home against Fort Scott, winning game 1 9-8, and losing game 2 8-4. In game 1, the offense started hot, scoring 7 runs in the first 2 innings, capped off by a Maverick Williamson 3-run home run. Fort Scott was able to tie the game, sending it to extra innings. In the top of the 9th, the Greyhounds were able to scratch a run across to take the lead. In the Panthers half of the 9th, Carson Hilton walked it off with a 2-RBI single to make the final score 9-8. Rhett Smith got the his 2nd win of the season out of the bullpen.  In game 2, the Panthers fell behind 4-0 after the 1st, but were able to tie the game in the bottom of the 3rd with 4 runs of their own, including another Maverick Williamson home run, his second of the day and 18th of the season. Unfortunately, that was all of the scoring for the Panthers and Fort Scott was able to add 4 more runs to make the final 8-4.
