Chanute, KS - The Neosho County men's basketball team won its last home game of the season on Saturday beating Hesston College 79-66. The Panthers led 34-27 at halftime, and led by as many as 18 points in the second half.
The leading scorer in the game for Neosho County was sophomore point guard
Damian Jones with 20 points. Other Panther's scoring in double figures were redshirt sophomore
Michael Doria with 13 points, freshman
Adyn Prophete with 12 points, and freshman
Champ Powaukee with 11 points. Redshirt sophomore
Aaron Doria added 9 points. Leading the way on the glass for the Panther's was
Adyn Prophete with 8 rebounds.
Neosho County had 17 assists in the game and was led by
Aaron Doria with 5 assists.
Neosho County is now 10-17 on the season and 3-10 in conference play. The Panther's last regular season game will be on the road Wednesday against Kansas City Kansas Community College. The game is scheduled to be played at Metropolitan Community College-Penn Valley at 7:30 PM.
