Hesston, KS - The Neosho County Men's basketball team lost a road conference game to Hesston College 80-70 on Wednesday night. Hesston made 9-three pointers in the first half on their way to a 47-33 halftime lead. The Panthers outscored Hesston 37-33 in the second half, but it was not enough to overcome the first half deficit.
The leading scorer in the game for Neosho County was freshman
Adyn Prophete with 23 points. Other Panther's scoring in double figures were freshman
Justin van Rooijen and sophomore
JT Peterson with 13 points each.Â
Adyn Prophete had 15 rebounds to lead the Panthers on the glass, while sophomore
Damian Jones added 8 rebounds.
Neosho County is now 9-11 on the season and 2-4 in conference play. The Panther's resume play on Saturday with a home conference game against Kansas City Kansas Community College at 4:00 PM.
